The find.aliases.sh
file creates helpful shortcut aliases for the fd
command
. The fd
command is a cross-platform alternative to find
.
Traditionally, the find
command is used to search for files in a directory
hierarchy and perform actions on the files that are found.
We decided to substitute the find
command with the fd
command which is
simpler, fast and user-friendly alternative to find
.

fd (opens new window) is a simple, fast and user-friendly
alternative to find
. While it does not aim to support all of find's powerful
functionality, it provides sensible (opinionated) defaults for a majority of
use cases.

fda | fd --absolute-path | list all files with absolute path. |
fdc | fd --ignore-case | list all files with case insensitive search. |
